You must have a reputation. Celebrities are always in demand because they are known to the public and are an attraction wherever they show up. This could be starring in a movie or giving an interview or just being noticed sitting in a restaurant. Theirs was created for then by publicists, studios, and their own actions.
“It is easier to cope with a bad conscience than with a bad reputation.” F Nietzsche
Political campaigns are more character assassination than they are policy arguments. Paint the person or party running against them with a particular colour and the voters attitude towards them changes. Sometimes it takes no more than a sixty-second sound bite or video image while at other times it may take a couple of years.
Reputations are destroyed so guard yours. Try to build a reputation as someone not to piss off, push around, or challenge.Be uncompromising when it comes to protecting your reputation.
